A study at the University of Oxford is experimenting with how people perceive words and shapes. The article Details that low sounding Pitches are associated with Larger, rounded Objects, while Higher Pitches are associated with smaller pointy objects. These findings are now being used in experiments to try to enhance the eating experience. The experiments were based off a rare disease known as Synaesthesia, which affects about one percent of our population. People with this rare affliction describe seeing sounds, and hearing colors. Imagine eating the most delicious thing in the world, and it was only so delicious because of its name. Without that name it would somehow taste more bland. The possibilities are many for these experiments. I for one am very excited.
